Thermal desorption plant SDT 30

The SDT-30 thermal desorption plant is designed to clean up soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons. It is a stationary plant that can be dismounted and easily transported in a new area. It is recommended to place the plant close to the waste zones.

A thermal desorption unit (rotary dryer) treats contaminated feedstock such as soil, sludge, sediments by direct heating the feedstock at maximum temperature of 550°C/1022°F. The heating process separates the contaminants from the feedstock by volatilizing them. Treated soil is water cooled and exhausted at 110°C/230°F.

Volatilized contaminants are transported into an oxidation chamber and oxidized by direct heating at a maximum temperature of 850°C/1562°F. Exhausted gases are cooled down under 180°C/356°F and transported into a bag filtering unit. Aftewards filtered gases are exhausted through a stack into the air and the dust is recovered into the treated soil helical conveyor.
